Deadly Crash Closes Highway 169, Sends Three to Hospital

Multiple Injuries in Serious Crash on Maple Valley Highway

Three individuals were hospitalized and a major highway was closed following a severe crash on Maple Valley Highway in Renton, Washington, according to the Renton Police Department.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred earlier today. Authorities have requested motorists to expect an extended closure of southbound State Route 169 between South 140th Street and the Interstate 405 interchange while they conduct their investigation.

Both directions of Highway 169 remain closed as of this writing, with traffic being rerouted to alternate routes. Commuters are advised to allow for additional travel time or seek alternate routes until further notice.
