Apple introduces Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro

At same price as previous generation, new Magic Keyboard features several updates
Cupertino, Calif.—Apple today introduced Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, delivering the best typing and trackpad experience ever on iPad. Magic Keyboard features a stunning floating design, a full-size backlit keyboard with scissor mechanism, a trackpad with support for Multi-Touch gestures and the Cursor, and a USB-C port for pass-through charging. Magic Keyboard protects the front and back of iPad Pro, and conveniently folds into a case to provide maximum portability. Magic Keyboard is available to order today and will be in stores next week.

With a redesigned floating cantilever design, Magic Keyboard magnetically attaches to iPad Pro and allows users to smoothly adjust it to the perfect viewing angle for working, writing, drawing, or watching videos. The full-size backlit keyboard features individual scissor keys with 1mm of travel for a comfortable and responsive typing experience. The built-in trackpad supports all the familiar Multi-Touch gestures and the Cursor in iPadOS, making it easy to navigate the entire system, use apps, and edit text with precision. The USB-C port allows users to charge iPad Pro while connected to Magic Keyboard.
Magic Keyboard conveniently folds into a slim and lightweight case to protect the front and back of iPad Pro when it’s not in use. When closed, Magic Keyboard keeps iPad Pro securely protected and preserves the Apple Pencil for easy charging and storage.
The new Magic Keyboard for the 11-inch iPad Pro is available for $299 (US) and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is available for $349 (US). Both models are available to order starting today on apple.com and in the Apple Store app, and will be available next week in select Apple Stores and through Apple Authorized Resellers.
