Brian Wenzel Named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Synchrony Financial

Synchrony Financial, a leading consumer financial services company, today announced the appointment of Brian Wenzel as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In this role, Wenzel will be responsible for leading Synchrony's finance organization and overseeing the company's financial planning, accounting, tax, and treasury functions.

Wenzel has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently serving as CFO of Discover Financial Services. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles at Capital One Financial Corporation, including CFO of the company's credit card business.

Wenzel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
